The travel system matters because it changes traction, turning, stability, floor pressure, maintenance, and how the machine moves between headings.

Start with the floor and grade
Tracks can support traction and lower ground pressure on rough or softer floors. Wheels may suit firmer surfaces and work that benefits from faster repositioning. Braking, stability, turning, water, mud, tire or track wear, and recovery access must be included.

Compare the complete loading cycle
Capacity depends on digging, material fragmentation, travel or conveyor, discharge, receiving equipment, roadway, operator, and duty. Compare machines on the same cycle basis.
